ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND ADVICE

There is a public telephone kiosk in the village, about 300 yards from the cottage. Tel. No. from UK: 00 353 51 389129. This can be used to receive calls at appointed times. You are welcome to use our home telephone in important or urgent circumstances. We are happy to take telephone or e-mail messages for you. Some UK mobile phones have to be adapted for use in Ireland prior to coming.

There are 3 steps at the front and 2 steps at the rear of the cottage so it is not ideal for severely disabled persons entering or leaving. If any member of your party has any special requirements, please let us know in advance.

The cottage must be vacated by 10am on day of departure and will be available on day of arrival from 4pm. (On occasions, earlier occupation can be arranged). The keys should be collected from our home. We would appreciate being informed of your estimated time of arrival and of any serious delay.

The shop in the village is small but there is a Centra Supermarket in Ramsgrange village which is 2 miles away. It stays open from 9am to 10pm daily. It has an ATM and they sell hot take away food.

There are several pubs/restaurants in the area where children are welcome and where an adult can get a substantial midday meal at reasonable rates.

Petrol and diesel are currently cheaper in Ireland than in England. There are a few Filling Stations in New Ross that have the best prices in the area.

Because of the excellent views and the passing boats and ships, it is strongly recommended that you bring binoculars.

We, the proprietors of the cottage, are a retired Irish couple who spent most of our working lives in England. We live in our new home in the field that adjoins the cottage grounds. We are happy to do what we can to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible and to help to overcome any problems that might arise.
