Visitors are allowed
to park cars on the beach.
It is a beautiful, quiet, safe beach, only 5 mins walk from the
holiday cottage, and even at peak season it never gets crowded.
There are other smaller beaches nearby.

Duncannon is situated in the
"Sunny South East" of Ireland. The climate here is generally mild with
very little frost in winter. (There are two mature palm trees in the garden).
There are trail walks along
the cliffs and many historic buildings to explore. There are several nice
gardens open to the public in the area.
John F. Kennedy's Irish
ancestors came from this area and there is much Kennedy history
around.
We own a 20' boat and
have been known, on rare and suitable occasions, to go sea angling
or cruising up the rivers.

Duncannon is about 35
miles from Rosslare Ferryport, 25 miles from Wexford and 15 miles
from New Ross. Waterford City and airport with daily flights to
Luton are about 10 miles away via a car ferry. Aer Arran also has
services to Waterford from Manchester and Birmingham 6 days per
week. Dublin Port and Airport are about 100 miles distant as is
Dun Laoghaire Ferryport. Cork is about 90 miles away. Cork airport
is a similar distance. Directions can be provided.
There are lots of sporting
(11 Golf Courses) and pleasure activities and places of interest nearby.

|
There are wildlife sanctuaries,
which are mainly inhabited by birds (many rare ones) within a short distance
of Duncannon.
Waterford, Wexford and Kilkenny
are close by. A tour of the Crystal Factory at Waterford is well worth
while.
More details of what to do
are kept in the cottage.
